Teresa McDermott

Hello cynthia, just wanted you to know that bailey has settled in like he has lived there his whole life. everyone loves him, very personable guy. i rode him today and he was just as quiet and good as he could be. even having been in his stall for two days with only a few hours of my hand walking and short turnouts in the indoor. such a good boy. we are taking our time as i get my strength back. he is so cute, if i tilt a litte forward, he stops. taking great care of me so i don't topple off!  he should be going outside tomorrow and into his turnout routine. thanks again for such a positive buying experience. i have and will tell everyone i know what a great match maker you are with your safe, impressive, quality horses. take care, and more updates later. teresa *Another Update* hello cynthia, just wanted to let you know bailey is safely home here in clifton. the intro to the other horses over the fence was non eventful. bailey has such wonderful manners and is so friendly. i had a blast the 6 weeks in leesburg. he was perfect in the indoor ring and the outdoor ring and the trails. can't wait to get started here. hope you are doing well. i see you are selling them as fast as you can get them in! i am sending as many people as i can your way! take care and if you are out here visiting your parents, please call me and i would love to have you come over. *Update* We went to Mark Wonderly's show at Frying Pan Park. He was such a star! He was Champion of the Pleasure Division!

I just wanted to write and tell you how happy I am. She is still perfect.  Hopped on everyday but Sunday for a little 5 - 10 minute hack.  Gets better every time I ride her.  Walked around the farm with Cody and Steve on Saturday and then again by myself today.  She is just the same all the time.  I love her. After Anna taking Mya on just two small parts of my trail system here, I took her out alone last week and did the whole loop.  She was PERFECT.  Today, Steve and I took Cody, the Classic Cody Mare I bought for him, and Mya out and did the whole two hour ride.  Mya was better than Cody!!!!

Sarah & Vicki Hoffman

Just a short note to let you know how happy Sarah is with Charmah. They are a perfect match. Charmah is a wonderful jumper and her canter is coming along nicely. She has a wonderful disposition. On June 2nd they showed at Fox Chase and came home with a blue ribbon in Equitation.-Vicki     Hi, this is Sarah, and Charmah Roman is coming along great! I just love her personality! she is defiantly an awesome pony and is the best pony I have ever ridden...and the very first pony I have ever had the pleasure to own. She loves to jump, and hardly ever dodges and when she does, it's usually my fault! She will jump anything I throw at her without fear. Her coloring is just beautiful and really makes her stand out in the show ring. Charmah is simply wonderful and unique in every way. I've never seen anything like her! She has settled in great since we bought her and I hope never to have to sell her! She often seems to know more than I do...horses and ponies are smarter then some people give them credit for! Thank you SO much!

Here are some pictures of Danny Boy.  There are some at your farm and his surprise "welcome home" party at mine.  You can see by Sunday (I brought him home the day before) that he & Liam are the best of friends! Thanks again for such a nice horse. -Kathy

Hi. Regal had her baby a couple weeks ago. He is so cute. She is a great mom as you said. We are calling him Lad. We were hoping to register him "Art I A Regal Lad." We love them both and are looking forward to riding Regal again in the near future. She has just been a big pet and I give her an apple wafer every day. She is spoiled. Thank you again for selling us Regal. We hope to have a lifetime of fun with her and Lad.

"Hey Cynthia....just wanted to give a quick update on Cheyenne...shes doing really well, she has a long ways to go but hopefully in the next year she will be a great show horse, she has a ton of potential. I took her to hazelwild the other weekend just to school and she was so quiet, im going to be taking her in maiden at both of the hunter series' at hazelwild this winter...so we'll see how it goes. She flies over the jumps like no other...she exaggerates and goes a foot or two higher than needed over everything, and i havent done anything over 2' with her. Her canter is coming along nicely, she really collects herself. All in all she just keeps improving which im really excited about. Im thinking about getting lessons on her, not weekly but every now and then just to help out. Btw-I named her Fede (pron. fay-duh) its italian for Faith. I just like to have names that mean something, and something uncommon is always fun." **UPDATE** At our last show in Pleasure Fede received two -2nd place and one-5th place ribbon.

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Bee. She settled in very well - she seems very mellow and didn't mind living alone in her little field next to the playground. Yesterday we moved her into the pasture next to the one with the rest of the horses in it. They all came running over to check her out and she was very cool about it - seemed more interested in checking out the grass! That was also the first time we had taken her out of the top field since she got there. She walked down through all the buildings and equipment and looked at everything, but didn't do anything silly.   I also had my first lesson on her. She was fantastic, considering it was her first time in that ring. There were some mud puddles she didn't want to go through, but what I liked was that although she shyed away a bit, she didn't get all dramatic about it. Eventually I got her going through them. I obviously have a lot of work to do on my riding, but the instructor was very impressed with Bee - said she has a nice steady canter and seems really nice, and very pretty of course!   Laura has ridden her a couple of times too and it went very well.   Thanks so much for finding her for us. We love her!

Queen is doing great.  She has grown a few inches since you last saw her and everyone compliments her on how beautiful she is.  She has settled in wonderfully and has made lots of friends.   We have really been working on head set and cantor.  I have just recently started jumping 18 inch jumps and Queen is doing great.  One time I didn't let her sniff the jump beforehand and she cleared the jump by several feet!  She is going to be a powerful jumper.   The color I like on her is lime green and we have a lime green saddle pad, tail bag, and helmet cover.   I hope to go to a show in July.

Becca and Lilly

Me and my mother bought Diamond from you a year ago and I was just e-mailing you to let you know how she is doing.  We have renamed her Lilly and she is doing great we showed last year and got Champion in Novice horse.  She is turning out to be more of a trail horse than anything else. I am so glad that we found her, she loves to be outside and be ridden bareback in a halter, just last weekend me and my friend went on a trail ride and she had never rode before and we could completely trust Lilly w/ her.  I am just glad that you sold us such a wonderful horse and I know it has been a while since we have e-mailed you but I thought you should know how she was doing.

Christina Sanjter

Lili is settling in very well.  I have my first lesson on her tomorrow. I rode her down the street by herself yesterday and she did pretty well. After trying four other horses in the past year, I have finally found my dream horse. Thanks for bringing her from Oklahoma! *Update* Yesterday when I took her to the lesson she did very good. My trainer liked her alot!

Wish you could see Lark – she is just beautiful.  And, quite full of herself.  I can’t wait for her to have a job – she needs one! We plan to start working her on the lunge soon and doing ground work. I'll try to send some updated photos soon. We did post her on the www.artisweet.com website. I was wondering whether or not Regal had foaled.  If you do hear about her, please let me know.

"Hi Cynthia, everything is going great w/ Jazzy. She is getting along really well with all the horses and has already made friends w/ her pasture mate. We are going to be entering our first dressage show this spring and I am so excited, she is learning quickly and we are having fun. I just wanted to touch base and let you know how she's doing."

Cristina Stitt

"We renamed Goldie, we now call him Sky. He really is a good boy! We will pick up some cube treats for him at the tack store today. Cristina rode him all over the place with just his halter and a lead line. The dogs barked, cars rode by,gates clanked and he behaved like a perfect gentelman! I was impressed. One of Cristina's friends already wants to buy him, of course we said no. She has never ridden before and Cristina lead her around for a while, I think we have another one hooked! Update- He is now schooling 2'6 and showing locally at 2ft with my trainer. He goes both english and western and doing great!"

Adele and Steph Schrimer

King (aka Bouncer) is doing fabtastic. He and Steph did great at their first show even though it was a cold snowy day! She won two firsts and a second in Beginner Hunter Horse WT, WTC, and over 18" cross rails, and then won two firsts and a second in Youth Hunter Pleasure 12 and under (WT, WTC, and Hunter Hack with 2 2' rails), and 3rd in Intermediate Hunter Rider WTC.  They were high Steph and Bouncer (show name A Fine Design) - (Kings new names) had their first show yesterday, in an indoor on a very point champions for the youth hunter section of the show!  Off to a great start, he was a very good boy, even when a bucking horse tossed his rider and ran up behind him.  Steph loves him very much.

"I want to go back to Manassas sooooo bad. I had so much fun even though it was freezing! I've been riding alot. Maverick lost his winter coat and he is even more handsome than I had even imagined. If you only knew how much I LOVE him!!!! He plays tag with me in the field. If I run he chases me...when I stop he stops and watches to see which way I'm gonna run and then he swings his head around and starts running after me again. It's the cutest thing you've ever seen. My friend wants to video tape it and sent it into America's Funniest Home Videos!"

"Buddy is doing great! He made 3 new horsey friends and loves peppermint treats, he will give you kisses afterwards. Buddy can sure run fast, my parents may put me in the Charlestown races, haha. How are you doing? I am fine. Buddy had his feet trimmed and teeth done and he was a very good boy during it. You will have to come out to our house and see him. All of my friends love him, they want to take him home. He has been great for me and my riding instructor. Have you got any new horses or ponies? I hope you have a Happy Easter. I will write to you later and mail photos."

Briana and Mom

"Snickers is doing gerat! He has settled in well at the new farm and loves his pony buddies. He and Brianna rode in their first show at the farm and took home 2- Reserve Champions in Crossrail Hunter. And Brianna even took him to a local show at Kellys Ford and also has high in the ribbons there too. They are working well togther and she just loves him thankyou."

Maggie

"Hey Cynthia, I just wanted to give you an update on how Gangsta's doing. Well, I've had him just over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with him :) He really is my dream horse. We've been competing the past 8 months on and off on the local hunter circuit, and we've pulled in quite a few Reserve Champions. He's got a huge heart and drive to please, but he's such a typical Thoroughbred (and I love him to death because of it!) He's up for just about anything I throw his way, from the basics, to cross country, to competitive trails. I can't imagine not having such a wonderful companion! Thank you :)"

Katie

"Lucky is the most fantastic horse anyone could ever ask for. He has so much heart in everything he does; he'd probably jump the moon if you asked him too. I am working with Lucky now on basic dressage and lower level eventing (wow does he love those cross country jumps!). He has so much love to give to everyone and he is loved by everyone. I couldn’t have picked a better horse, and a greater person to buy a horse from! I appreciate all you have done for me and Lucky. You’re the greatest!"

"I think that Stillwater Farms is a great place to board your horse. The relaxed and personable atmosphere that you guys have created is evident in both horses and owners. The horses don't seem to be so "high-strung" or nervous and we felt confident that our equine friend was getting the best of care. You did a great job at fitting me with Deklan. Than you for giving Deklan and I some time to get to know each other before expecting the final deposit. It was comforting to know that you are so honest with me while I was making the decision to buy another horse. And finally, you are also a great instructor. You are extremely patient during lessons. As a boarder and student I sincerely appreciate all the little extras that you provide. When someone is unsure about an issue with their horse, tack, riding technique, or just about anything, you were right there to help me at no extra charge. I would highly reccommend Stillwater Farms to anyone. Thank you!"

Melissa

"Thanks a lot for the advice we will try your ideas today when I go riding. I'm happy to hear that you like his new name (Splash), he responds well to it. The other day I started to jump him. He is a great jumper and he is a lot of fun. I love him I couldn't of gotten a better horse, he is just great. he is also very good at riding in the trailer he enters and exits the trailer very well. thank you again for all your great advice!"

Jacki

"Hi Cynthia, Mister is doing great. We took him to his first Beginner CT Event and he was fantastic. He is so bold and honest to the fences and just loves to jump, exactly what we wanted. I hope you continue to enjoy my pony, I know I will Mister. I'll keep in touch."

Kathy Roskuszka

Yes Ghost is doing great. You were right she had no problem when she was turned out with the other horses. I think Ghost continues to rule as head Mare! We have decided to keep her name as Ghost, Maddy thinks its cute and I like it too, although we have been through a long list of names that suite a white horse. everyone at the barn loves her and she is really sweet. I don't think I've ever ridden a horse I felt so comfortable with so soon. She seems so confident I feel very safe that she will not spook and at the same time she isn't so strong headed that she won't respond or listen to us. I will give you more updates as we get to ride her more, its supposed to go up to 17 degrees today and Maddy has a lesson so i will let you know how it goes. Talk to you soon,Kathy
